Mt. Rainier HS Class of 1974 Reunion Planning Update

Hello everyone in the Mt. Rainier HS class of 1974. This evening we had a zoom meeting with a group of class members and had more detailed discussions to begin organizing for our 50th year reunion. This was the second zoom meeting that we’ve had over the past few weeks.

There are several things that we’re working on to get our reunion organized, and get the ball rolling for a successful 50th reunion. Some of our goals are:

• To have an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere for seeing and socializing with our class members.
• To keep the costs modest and manageable and respect the financial resources of all of our class members.
• To maximize event accessibility to as many members of our class as possible. We want everyone to attend.

There were four key items that came out of the meeting this evening:

1. To communicate where and when our reunion will be. The main event starts in the afternoon, Saturday August 3rd, 2024, at Taylor Mountain Ranch (28603 SE 204th St, Maple Valley, WA 98038). There will also be a golf outing at the Auburn Golf Course the day before, starting at 1:45 PM Friday afternoon August 2nd, 2024. Other events are also being planned.
2. To let as many member of our class as possible know about our reunion dates and events. Please tell others in our class about the reunion plans.
3. To get an idea who intends to attend the 50 year reunion so we can get an early headcount of attendees. We are still working on an estimated cost per person and hope to have that number soon. 4. To get people to help plan and organize the reunion. Some of you have already expressed interest in getting involved. We need people to help in the following event planning groups. Please use the above email to let us know if you are interested in being involved in any of these planning groups:
   • Communications planning group
   • Marketing and sales planning group
   • Food and beverages planning group
   • Decorations planning group
   • Memorial of deceased class members planning group
   • Entertainment and activities planning group
